Organise an event inviting stakeholders and decision-makers on the role of youth organisations in provision citizenship education
Establish a Working Structure on Education, working with key Member Organisations and actors to coordinate advocacy efforts on quality citizenship education, particularly regarding the follow-up of the EU’s Declaration on Citizenship Education (Post-Paris Declaration).
Convey Structured Dialogue conclusions on citizenship education to MEPs during the February Culture & Education Committee meeting. Additionally, raise MEP’s role and understanding within of the Structured Dialogue process.
Strengthened knowledge among European decision makers about the role of youth organisations in the provision of quality citizenship education, especially in terms of developing critical thinking and improving media literacy
Increased awareness among education stakeholders of Youth Forum’s definition of what constitutes quality citizenship education, highlighting potential benefits including in countering rising populism and promoting media literacy and critical thinking.
